Declaration of Independence To Be Read Publicly in Trenton…Again
The Declaration of Independence was read publicly for the first time in downtown Trenton in 1776 at the Hunterdon County Courthouse on what is now South Warren Street between State Street and Front Street in downtown Trenton. On Tuesday, July 10 at 11 AM the Trenton Downtown Association, in association with the Old Barracks Museum and with the assistance of local political and business leaders, will re-enacted that historic moment. The public is invited and welcome.

Parties reach deal for parking spaces
The developer of the Broad Street Bank apartment building, the Trenton Parking Authority (TPA) and the state have reached a tentative agreement that will solve the parking woes that have bedeviled the building for months.

Trenton studies ways to improve parking
Gail Mitchell got more than she bargained for when she made the trip from her home in West Windsor to downtown Trenton for an event at Gallery 125 last month. Mitchell was attending a reception at the gallery on Warren Street where her small quilt, "Turvy Girl," was on display.

The man wanted to snap a picture of the Old Barracks Museum to post on his Web site. A history buff, he wanted to bring attention to the barracks built in 1758 to house troops during the French and Indian War.
