Revolutionary Mile Team Challenge Brings Energy and Community to Downtown Trenton

Downtown Trenton came alive on Thursday evening, October 16, 2025, for the inaugural Revolutionary Mile Team Challenge, as teams gathered under clear skies for a 1.5-mile run and walk through New Jersey's state capital. Thanks to the crisp fall weather and amazing community spirit, teams of runners and walkers representing corporations, nonprofits, local schools and various community groups were ready to make some history—and that they did.

From the upbeat soundtrack provided by iPutOn Agency to the friendly volunteers holding cheerful yellow umbrellas, the event generated much positivity, joy and excitement. “Participants experienced downtown Trenton in a new way—running or walking through our storied cobblestone streets, surrounded by iconic landmarks that turned the course into a visually immersive blend of competition and education,” says Tom Rust, Executive Director of the Trenton Downtown Association.

Participants came from as far as South Carolina, North Jersey, and Bucks County to be part of the fun. One runner shared, “It was amazing to feel our whole team catch a stride together and see the crowd cheering us past those historic sites—I’ve never done anything like this.”

The celebration continued at local businesses including The Lobby Club, the tation Bar and Tapas and 1911 Smokehouse BBQ, where teams relaxed, swapped stories, and celebrated their efforts
