History Walk - Trenton Walks

Presented By:
Greater Mercer TMA

Trenton Walks! is a community engagement program that features walks throughout Trenton. Sponsored by the Trenton Green Team and supported by the Mercer County Action Team, the program features walks in and around New Jersey’s capital city on different days at different times of the day.

This will be a special History Walk celebrating the 250th anniversary of George Washington’s Journey through Jersey (including the City of Trenton!) as he traveled from the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia to take command of the Continental Army at Cambridge, MA.  Come to the 1719 William Trent House (15 Market Street) at 2:00 p.m. for a lecture by Paul Soltis, NJDEP Resource Interpretive Specialist / Historian, on this event as a prelude to the Revolutionary War.  Paul Soltis will co-lead the 3.3-mile Walk with Tim Brill, Central Jersey project manager for the N.J. Conservation Foundation and Trenton Walks! leader, and Larry Paul, chair of the Trenton Green Team.  (TGT Walk #21)
