Re-Enactment of the 1781 Continental and French Army Encampment

Presented By:
William Trent House
Visit the 1719 William Trent House Museum for a day filled with historical fun. Step back in time and experience life as it was during the Revolutionary War. In June 1781, the Continental Army under General Washington and the allied French Army under General Rochambeau camped in Trenton for several days. Find out about camp life from re-enactors of Le Régiment Bourbonnais and the 1st Rhode Island Regiment. Visit the soldiers and play period games at their camp canteen. Watch a blacksmith at work, and help the doctor roll bandages. Taste alternatives to imported tea with local patriotic women. This family-friendly event includes crafts and activities for school-age children and a scavenger hunt with prizes.
